I am downright in love with this blog. To me, this is true journalism: telling the stories of “ordinary” people who are all extraordinary. This is a beautiful piece of work.
San Francisco
Last weekend, I went to San Francisco for the ACP Conference. It was a very nice city. The one thing that I liked the most was the people. Everyone that I interacted with was nice and very welcoming (not exactly the norm for CA). The city was insanely diverse and I think that that niceness probably spawned from that exposure to diversity. Most of us go through our every day lives surrounded by mostly people who are like us. In San Fran, every person walking down the street was unique and special. Instead of looking down on different people, San Fran embraced and celebrated them. Everyone there was comfortable with who they were. It was a beautiful thing.
